WETZEL COUNTY, W.Va. --
The Wetzel County Sheriff's Office is warning all residents in the area of a phone scheme.
Sheriff James Hoskins said that several residents have received calls saying that law enforcement agencies are calling to see if they have security systems and if they can come install one.
The sheriff said that no law enforcement agencies do that, and if anyone gets this type of suspicious phone call to write the number down. Log the time of the call, a description of the voice, and call the Wetzel County Sheriff's Office at 304-455-2430.
