WHEELING, W.Va. —
The Bethlehem Apostolic Temple Church in Wheeling is getting ready for its annual Thanksgiving food giveaway.
Organizers said the event is to benefit anyone who is unemployed, underemployed or just doesn't have enough food.
While any donations would be welcome, the Rev. D.W. Cummings said they've paid for a truck to come in with Thanksgiving meal foods and goods.
"We hope that we can help as many as need to be. It's sad that that many families need help, but we're glad we can be a conduit to help get that help out," Cummings said.
Last year, the event helped more than 300 families.
This year's giveaway will be Saturday, Nov. 17, at 10 a.m.
