Wheeling house fire under investigation

By Briona Arradondo

WHEELING, W.VA. —

Firefighters battled flames at a Wheeling house early Sunday morning, according to Assistant Fire Chief Ed Geisel.

The fire started about 4:37 a.m. on Altenheim Avenue near the Tim Horton's restaurant, and firefighters worked to put out flames in the attic, officials said.

A passerby called to report the fire, and the Wheeling Fire department stayed at the scene for about four hours, firefighters said.

Investigators are working to determine what caused the blaze, and there was no one inside at the time.
