Wheeling Jesuit Revamps Curriculum

Wheeling Jesuit officials announced on Tuesday plans for the university's curriculum to focus more on professional development.

The university will change the name of its adult and continuing education division to the Center for Professional and Graduate Studies, said interim President Dr. James Birge.

A new Master of Science program in organization leadership will also be implemented, Birge said.

He said the changes were a result of much input.

"(They) resulted from organizations and recent graduates of ours saying there's a need for more leadership here in the Valley," Birge said.

Wheeling Jesuit will hold an open house for the adult classes on Wednesday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Erickson Building.
