Wheeling Police Rescue, Arrest Drunken Driver

A drunken driver did quite a bit of damage in Wheeling on Wednesday night.

According to police reports, someone witnessed Charles Lough of Wheeling drive into a gas pump at Eleventh Street and Warwood Avenue.

Police said Lough tried to drive away, but ran into a parked car. They said Lough was hanging out of his van, and fell underneath it while it was still in reverse.

Police were able to pull him out from under the van, but it continued backward, hitting a gas station pillar.

Lough was charged with DUI with property damage and leaving the scene of an accident.
