Wheeling Police Search For Missing Juvenile

13 year old Jazmyne Joyner was last seen on Saturday April 16, 2005. She was home for a weekend from Fox Run Hospital visiting her mother Helen Gilliam who lives on Market Street in Wheeling. Gilliam tells NEWS 9 her daughter told her she was walking to the Convenient Store on the corner, but never returned home. Gilliam says this isn't the first time her daughter has been missing. She ran away from home before to stay with a friend. Gilliam says her daughter may very well be with a friend, nevertheless, it's still unsettling not knowing where she is. Gilliam says she worries even more about her daughter because she needs to take medication for a bi-polar disorder.

Wheeling police are actively looking for Joyner. They don't believe she was abducted or kidnapped. Anyone with any information is urged to contact the Wheeling Police Department at 1-304-234-3661.

Here is a description of Jazmyne Joyner:

- black female

-13 years old

-5 feet 8 inches tall

-150 pounds

-last seen wearing blue jeans and a white t-shirt
