Wheeling Woman Watches Grandson Win 'Wheel of Fortune'

Vera Witzberger and her husband Eddie have never been so excited to watch “Wheel of Fortune,” but Tuesday night was a little different. Witzberger’s 17-year-old grandson Kyle Gantzer was one of the contestants.

At first, it didn’t look good for Kyle and his best friend Brad.

“I was afraid there for a while he wasn’t going to win anything,” Witzberger said.

She stayed glued to the show, getting up only once to make sure it was recording on not one, but two different TVs.

Then, the game took a turn. Kyle and Brad solved one puzzle and were on a roll from there.

In the end, the pair won a trip to Mexico and $47,150. Kyle’s grandmother said he deserves it all.

“I think he’s a very bright boy. He’s going to make his way in this world,” Witzberger said.
