Wildlife Agencies Face Reductions In Funding As License Revenues Fall

Hunting, Fishing Licenses Decline Brings Funding Problems For Wildlife Agencies

Wildlife agencies are looking for money after revenues from hunting and fishing licenses are down, officials said.

Many states, including West Virginia and Pennsylvania are struggling to keep up the pace as both states have seen the number of resident hunting permits decline.

Fundraising strategies in some states range from sales taxes on outdoor sporting goods to a surcharge on speeding tickets.
