Severe Weather Team 9 said an icy, slushy morning will give way to a rainy day and rainfall may approach an inch today.

The weather service said hazardous travel conditions are expected due to snow- and ice-covered roads.

A winter weather advisory means that snow sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. People should use caution while driving.

Severe Weather Team 9 said winds are expected to begin to get gusty later this Monday afternoon into the evening. A few flurries are possible on Tuesday and snow showers are possible again Wednesday afternoon. Spring officially begins on Wednesday, but temperatures are expected to stay well below normal throughout the week.
