Members of the Summerfield community are mourning Paige Martin, 57, a trial lawyer of 30 years.

Noble County dispatch said it's believed steam caused her death at The Learning Center for Human Development, a lifestyle facility in Summerfield. It appears Martin was trying to make some sort of steam bath when things went wrong.

County dispatchers also said Martin was performing a demonstration. She was attempting to heat rocks to produce something similar to a steam bath when the steam got too intense.

By the time emergency crews arrived, it was too late. Martin was pronounced dead at the scene.

Friends and loved ones gathered at the site to offer prayers as they continue to grieve.

The Learning Center For Human released this statement:

"Our organization is stunned and deeply grieved by the death of one of our most beloved associates, Paige Martin. As one of the founder's of our organization, Paige was a dynamic leader, a gifted attorney, and a tremendously loving and devoted friend to us, and her death is an unimaginable loss. Our prayers go out to her family, coworkers and friends. She lived with a passion and carried it out with great enthusiasm."
