By NEWS9

OHIO COUNTY, W.Va. —

A national organization is honoring an Ohio County elementary school for its strides in health programs for children.

The Alliance for a Healthier Generation gave Woodsdale Elementary School in Wheeling a bronze award for making the campus healthier.

The school is one of more than 250 nationwide that are helping to fight childhood obesity through better lunches and more physical activity.

The school will participate in an awards ceremony in Little Rock, Ark., later this year.
