Since 1993, Coats For Kids has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars so children can go shopping and buy a new winter coat.
Each year, WTOV9 solicits money to help buy coats for hundreds of Ohio Valley children. WTOV9 works with 8 local Salvation Army Units in our area to help locate the needs of the children and help supply the coats. In most cases, the children are allowed to choose their own coats.
In 2012, the program provided over 500 coats for kids.
WTOV9 would like to thank the Bellaire, Cambridge, East Liverpool, Moundsville, Steubenville, Weirton, Wellsburg and Wheeling Salvation Army Units for their help in making the Coats for Kids program successful.
