What a weekend we have coming up, folks!

The 3 Rivers Regatta runs Friday through Monday at the Point in Pittsburgh. Of course there are activities and races each day but at night there is a diverse line-up of talent. Friday it's CAKE, Saturday HOOTIE & THE BLOWFISH, Sunday the Pittsburgh Symphony performs and Monday is country night with Phil Vassar.

Weirton wants to show the Ohio Valley it has a sense of community and on Saturday at 10 a.m. they kick their celebration off with a parade down Main Street. From noon until 9 p.m. it is the Renaissance Festival with food, fun, bingo, a cupcake eating contest featuring local celebriities and politicians (Gus's Goodies supplying the eats), music throughout the day, and then at 10 p.m. the fireworks take place from the Starvaggi Pool.

Toronto will be buzzing with activity with their All-School Weekend. It's the 3rd Annual Robert Urich Memorial Walk/Run, a cutest baby contest, dancing in the streets and much more AND you know Toronto is famous for their fireworks which will happen Saturday night.

Cadiz and Wellsburg celebrate the 4th on the 4th and so does Steubenville and Wheeling.

At Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Pavilion Saturday it's the famous "Newlywed," Jessica Simpson. On the 4th, Kiss and Poison share the stage with major fireworks promised afterwards.

Monday night it's music under the stars as the Wheeling Symphony performs a free concert in Weirton on the General Office grounds on 3 Springs Drive.

Wednesday, SPIDERMAN 2 opened. Tobey Maguire stars in the sequel that alot of fans and critics are calling better than the original! Our superhero battles a new foe, Dr. Octavius, but his real struggle is in his personal life - something he can't seem to have and save the world too. Read my review to see what I thought of it.

So have a safe and happy L O N G weekend with family and friends, and as you hang your flags, remember to thank those that are still fighting the good fight to keep America free. Happy Birthday, U S A!
