WWDD For August 1st Weekend

Related

The summer is NOT winding down and here's proof:

It's the 26th Pittsburgh Regatta, the largest inland regatta in the United States. There are the usual races, water ski exhibitions and plenty of music and food AND admission is $1.00!!!! You can't beat that folks.

The Marshall County Fair is also worth checking out and that's through Sunday too.

The Benedum offers Saturday Night Live's Ana Gasteyer as Fanny Brice in "Funny Girl," which is loaded with great music including the song Barbra Streisand made famous, "People."

Brooke Hills Playhouse presents Neil Simon's "You Ought To Be In Pictures."

Musically:

Friday night at Star Lake it's Brooks and Dunn's Neon Circus also featuring Rascal Flatts and Brad Paisley.

Sheryl Crow's at Heinz Hall Friday too.

Saturday night at the Chevrolet Amphitheater at Station Square it's Chicago.

Lets Go To The Movies:

The apple pie turns into wedding cake as Jim and Michelle tie the knot in AMERICAN WEDDING, the 3rd in the "American Pie" series, but not before Jim, Stifler and friends experience the ultimate bachelor party and many words of advice from Jim's dad (Eugene Levy).

Power couple Ben and Jen (don't need to tell you their last names do I?) star in GIGLI, about a hit man who's out to make his big score through a kidnapping scheme and teams up with a woman he thinks is in the same business.

And a movie that's been out for a few months in limited release will be available at all theaters starting Friday. BEND IT LIKE BECKHAM is one of the best films I've seen this year. It tells the story of an Indian girl living in England who has a talent for soccer but a family that wants her to be a young lady and use her educational skills to get into a good college. It's a coming-of-age story that will go straight to your heart and have you cheering by the end of the movie.

So, have a great weekend whatever you do - if you don't, it's your own fault!
