WWDD For January 30th Weekend

IT SHOULD BE A "SUPER" WEEKEND...

Carrot Top brings his suitcases full of laughs to the Capitol Music Hall Friday night.

Saturday from 8 to midnight at the Weirton K of C there's a benefit dance supporting the Anthony Pirraglia Jr. Legacy Trust Fund where there'll be great music and friendship. It was a huge success last year and I can only hope the tradition continues.

The Academy Award nominations were announced Tuesday, so if you're interested, you can see some of the movies that are going for the gold (for a complete run-down of nominations go to http://www.oscar.org/press/presskit/nomannounce.html

or you can check out the 2 movies opening this weekend:

THE BIG BOUNCE - Owen Wilson plays Jack Ryan, a likable con man who finds himself in Hawaii where a beautiful girl wants to team up with him for the perfect score - or is it the perfect set up?

Speaking of scoring... 6 high school students, each with their own set of circumstances, band together to steal the answers for the S.A.T. in an attempt to beat the system in THE PERFECT SCORE.

And of course it's the SUPERBOWL on Sunday with Beyonce singing the National Anthem and a half-time show starring Janet Jackson, P. Diddy, Nelly and Kid Rock. New commercials will be introduced and oh, there's a football game, too - Panthers and Patriots.

So have a SUPER weekend whatever you do,
