WWDD For July 11th Weekend

Related

Follansbee is the city of activity this weekend as Follansbee Community Days happen through Sunday night. There are games and craft booths and tasty festival foods as well as nightly entertainment with everything from a Neil Diamond impersonator to popular oldies with Legend and the Original Fantasys. So make plans to meet your friends and make new ones there and hopefully the weather will cooperate.

The Harrison County Fair continues through Sunday also.

Steubenville City School's Touch of Class program presents the Broadway musical, "Footloose," Friday and Saturday at 7:30 in the Steubenville High School auditorium. Terrific music came out of that soundtrack: "Lets Hear It For the Boy," "Almost Paradise," and of course, "Footloose."

The uniquely entertaining BLUE MAN GROUP comes to Star Lake on Saturday night - pavilion seating only.

New Movies:

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: THE CURSE OF THE BLACK PEARL started Wednesday. Set in the 17th century, rogue pirate Jack Sparrow, played by Johnny Depp, tries to stop a ship full of zombie pirates from reversing a curse. I saw this movie and although it's too long, I recommend it if you like action adventure. Not for the young ones though, even if it is brought to us by Disney - there are some violent scenes.

Sean Connery stars in THE LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN, about a group of literary characters from Captain Nemo to the Invisible Man, who band together to fight criminals of the 19th century. I'm interested.

And if you want to venture into Pittsburgh, they're having their South Side Street Fair through Sunday. I've been there and done that and had a great time but parking is always a problem.

See you in Follansbee, folks. Lets have a great weekend.
