WWDD For July 22, 2005 Weekend

Are you Italian or wish you were? Or do you just like the food and music? Well then this is your weekend because it's the 23rd Upper Ohio Valley Italian Festival in Wheeling and it's the 3rd largest Italian Festival in the United States.

And staying in Wheeling, it's the OVAC weekend with the Queen of Queens pageant at Wesbanco Arena Friday and the big rivalry football game on Sunday at Wheeling Island Stadium.

The Brooke Hills Playhouse presents PLAZA SUITE through Sunday. Curtain goes up at 8:00.

OZZFEST takes over the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Pavilion Saturday beginning at 9 a.m.

And Sunday night at Mountaineer, Tom Jones performs "It's Not Unusual" and "What's New Pussycat." I saw his show in Las Vegas and he is tremendous.

It's the last weekend for Pittsburgh's Civic Light Opera's "The Who's TOMMY."

And the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra will perform "The Lord of the Rings Symphony" Friday and Saturday night at Heinz Hall. Billy Boyd (Pippin) will be performing and the musicians will have film clips as a backdrop. I'll be there Saturday night.

At the movies and Winter Drive-In:

BAD NEWS BEARS

THE ISLAND

HUSTLE and FLOW

THE DEVIL'S REJECTS

Now have a great weekend whatever you do.
