That's right - prepare for your televisions to be taken over by college hoops for the next few weeks. Me? I love it - fill out my bracket as if I'm going to win a prize or make a difference. But if you're not a fan, the Ohio Valley has alternatives:

Kid Rock performs at AJ Palumbo Center Friday night.

It's comedy night at Weirton's Holiday Inn on Friday and every Saturday at 9:30 the laughs can be heard coming from East Liverpool Motor Lodge's Comedy Club.

The Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus is at Wesbanco Arena with shows through Saturday night.

The Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce is holding their Indoor/Outdoor Home and Garden Expo 2004 all weekend long at St. John's Arena.

And it's the Bluegrass Jamboree at the Capitol Music Hall Saturday night.

MOVIES:

TAKING LIVES - Angelina Jolie plays a top FBI profiler who becomes surrounded by suspects as she investigates a killer who assumes the lives and identities of his victims. Ethan Hawke, Keifer Sutherland and Gena Rowlands also star.

ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND - From the mind of Charlie Kaufman comes the story of Clementine (Kate Winslet) who has memories of her relationship with boyfriend Joel (Jim Carrey) erased through an experimental process. Joel decides to do the same but then he realizes that there are certain memories he doesn't want to part with.

DAWN OF THE DEAD - A remake of the George Romero classic is updated to find a handful of humans who've survived a strange plague-like event trying to find shelter and escape from zombies in a shopping mall.

And Saturday, March 20th is the first day of Spring!

Now go enjoy your weekend.
