Holiday concerts are in full swing at the Capitol Music Hall on Friday with Neal McCoy's Christmas show and on Saturday Lorrie Morgan brings her celebration to the stage. Sunday at Mellon Arena, Martina McBride presents "The Joy of Christmas."

At St. John's Arena on Saturday it's The Charlie Daniels Band and on Sunday, from MTV, it's the hip hop group DA BAND that takes the stage.

The musical comedy, and winner of 3 - 2003 Tony Awards, "Urinetown" is at the Benedum through Sunday.

At the movies - you know Hollywood is really putting the films out there, know ing there's a holiday audience with money to spend from now until Christmas:

"The Cat in the Hat" was #1 at the box office last week, but I suggest you read my review before you go as I say "Pass the Hat!"

Billy Bob Thornton stars as a criminal posing as a mall Santa that robs stores blind until he meets an 8-year old boy who reminds him of the true meaning of Christmas in "BAD SANTA."

"THE HAUNTED MANSION" stars Eddie Murphy as a man who takes his family on a job interview at a haunted house where they encounter a ghost and he learns a valuable lesson about fatherhood and family.

Ron Howard directs Tommy Lee Jones and Cate Blanchett in the dramatic western, "THE MISSING," about an estranged father who reunites with his daughter to rescue his granddaughter from a band of outlaw Army deserters led by a mysterious Apache shaman.

"TIMELINE" is a suspense thriller based on the Michael Crichton novel that has present day archaeologist students transported to 14th Century feudal France in search of their missing professor.

JCC is sponsoring their first juried College Art Show, December 1-7. The show is sponsored by the Fine Arts Club.

And, of course, there's plenty of college sports, NBA and NFL (Cincinnati vs. Steelers) to watch while you eat those left-overs this weekend.

So have a Happy Thanksgiving and remember, Thanksgiving doesn't have to be just a day or a season, you can make it a part of your lifestyle. Be thankful for who you are, what you have, and for those who won't be with their families this holiday season because they are doing what they can to make our world a better place.
