Zanesville couple on trial in boys' camping deaths

By The Associated Press

 ZANESVILLE, Ohio --

Jurors traveled to a camping area where a 3-year-old boy drowned and his brother went missing as the trial of their mother and her husband started in Muskingum County.

Media outlets report the Muskingum County jury was selected earlier Monday in the trial of 25-year-old Kasey Klein and 38-year-old Richard Klein Jr. of Zanesville. Each face up to 20 years in prison if convicted of the involuntary manslaughter and child endangering counts against them.

Authorities have said the boys, 3-year-old Ayden Cecil and 2-year-old Anthony Tullius, wandered away when the family was camping near the Muskingum River in June. The older boy's body was found in the water within hours; the younger boy has not been found.

The couple has pleaded not guilty.
