OVAC Volleyball Champions Crowned

Five schools were crowned OVAC volleyball champions Saturday at both Steubenville and Brooke High Schools.

All five title matches went the maximum five games.

In Class 5A, Edison defeated Parkersburg South. Katelyn Pollock led the Wildcats with 14 kills. They defeated Indian Creek in the semifinal match.

Meadowbrook won the Class 4A title, defeating East Liverpool.

In Class 3A, Tyler Consolidated defeated state-ranked Shenandoah. The third and deciding game was decided by a 27-25 count.

Steubenville Catholic Central claimed the Class 2A crown. Central knocked off Frontier in the finals, after sweeping Bridgeport in the semifinals.

Madonna was Class A champions, beating Paden City 25-21, 23-25, 25-17.
