St. Clairsville heading to Ohio Division IV State Football Title Game

St. Clairsville is heading to the Ohio Division IV state football championship game, defeating the defending state champion Norwayne Bobcats 40-27  Friday night in Massillon.

The Red Devils got a huge game from Boston College-bound Dan Monteroso. Monteroso collected more than 200 receiving yards, including two big touchdowns along with two interceptions and a sack on defense.

St. Clairsville took the lead for good in the 3rd quarter as Matt Kinnick hit Jerrid Marhefka on a  76 yard touchdown pass play to make it 34-27 with 2:54 to go in the quarter.

The Red Devils will take on Clinton-Massie, 45-21 winners over Columbus Hartley, Friday at 3 p.m. in Canton's Fawcett Stadium.
