TUSCARAWAS COUNTY, Ohio --
After some minor flooding near New Philadelphia early Friday, a flood warning for the Tuscarawas River wascanceled around noon when the river crested just below flood stage.
Just after 4 a.m. Friday, the New Philadelphia 911 call center reported flooding on Stone Creek Road, Crooked Run Road and Truss Road. Flooding also prompted the closure of state Route 258 near Dunlap Creek.
The National Weather Service said as of 5 a.m. the river was at 7.1 feet. Flood stage is 7.5 feet.
