Seahawks Lose Obomanu To Injury

Saturday, August 30, 2008

(Sports Network) - Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Ben Obomanu broke his collarbone in Friday's 23-16 preseason victory over the Oakland Raiders and is out indefinitely.

The Seahawks have serious issues at the receiver position with both Deion Branch and Bobby Engram also expected to miss considerable time with injuries to start the season.

Obomanu was slotted to be one of the top four receivers despite the rash of injuries and lack of contribution this preseason. The Auburn product failed to register a reception until Friday's game. His second catch of the contest, good for 30 yards, resulted in the fractured clavicle.
