Obama Supporters Still In The Office

Supporters have not packed up yet at the Obama Headquarters in Weirton.

They said that even though Sen. Barack Obama didn’t take the state of West Virginia, he still has a lot of wind in his sails and there’s no reason for them to give up.

Some people have criticized Obama, saying he didn’t spend time in West Virginia and he forgot about West Virginia.

Supporters argue against those claims, saying he was behind several grassroots headquarters like the one here in Weirton.

“That’s why he sent his supporters to Brooke and Hancock Counties. He knows this county, he knows this county is as special as any other county. Even in church this Sunday, he sent a Mother’s Day message to all his supporters, so he knows how important West Virginia is like any other big state like Chicago or New York,” said Kyle Wilson, an Obama campaign volunteer.

The restaurant’s owner said as long as the community wants the Obama office there, it will stay there.
