Baseball's Cinderella team might have met its match. The Colorado Rockies whipped threw the National League playoffs, sweeping the Philadelphia Phillies in three games and the Arizona Diamondbacks in four to clinch a spot in the World Series.Winning has come easy to Colorado -- which nicknamed itself Rocktober for its postseason success -- as of late, as the club enters the World Series having won 21 of its past 22 games. While the Rockies were idly waiting to see who their next opponent would be, the Red Sox put together a small winning streak of their own. After trailing the Cleveland Indians 3-1 in the American League Championship Series, Boston won three straight to clinch a berth in its first World Series since winning the league crown in 2004.Now the two red-hot teams will face off in a best-of-seven series. Boston, which holds home-field advantage after the American League downed its counterpart in the All-Star game, will host Game 1 on Wednesday and Game 2 on Thursday. The teams will head to Denver for games three and four on Saturday and Sunday. The Rockies will give the ball to ace Jeff Francis on Wednesday, while the Red Sox will start ALCS MVP Josh Beckett.Beckett went 3-0 in his three postseason starts, including a win in Game 5 against Cleveland. But the Rockies aren't afraid of Beckett's arsenal. In fact, they've already bettered it.Colorado won two of three games against Boston in the teams' inner-league series in June. The Rockies pounded Beckett for a 7-1 victory in which the starter gave up 10 hits and six runs -- including two home runs -- in the loss. Colorado's other victory in the series was a 12-2 win against Curt Schilling. In the postseason, Boston has been led offensively by the big bats of Manny Ramirez, Kevin Youkilis and David Ortiz. The three have combined for 11 home runs and 29 RBIs. Mike Lowell has also pitched in, recording 11 RBIs in 10 games. The Rockies -- who played in three less postseason games than the Red Sox -- haven't put up the same offensive numbers as Boston. As a team Colorado has knocked out seven homers and recorded 32 RBIs. But they have still outscored their opponents 34-16 in seven games.
