The St. Clairsville boys and girls cross country teams won the Division II regional meets held in Pickerington Saturday afternoon.

The Red Devils girls placed four girls in the top six overall.

Alex Thornburg led the boys contingent with a 3rd place finish.

Defending Division III state champion Bellaire St. John boys won the regional meet Saturday as well.

Luke Holubeck and Matt Moscato placed 1-2 overall.

The state meet is Saturday at Scioto Downs near Columbus.

In district championship soccer action, St. Clairsville's girls fell to state-ranked River View 3-2 at Philo High School.

The Red Devils led 1-0 at the half, the goal scored by freshman Amy Castle, who finished 6th earlier in the day at the cross country regionals.
