Detroit, MI (Sports Network) - Katie Smith dazzled the home crowd with 17 points and nine assists, while Swin Cash added 19 points, six rebounds and five assists as Detroit knocked off Washington, 92-86, at The Palace of Auburn Hills. Deanna Nolan and Cheryl Ford added 18 points apiece as Detroit improved to 5-0 at home this season. Detroit also won its fourth straight game and scored its most points in almost two years. Duke product Alana Beard led all scorers with 20 points and Nikki Teasley donated 16 points in Washington's second consecutive loss.

Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - Barbara Farris scored 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the New York Liberty over the Minnesota Lynx, 93-83, at the Target Center. Shameka Christon added 19 points and Becky Hammon scored 16 for the Liberty, who have won consecutive games for the first time this season. Seimone Augustus had 29 to lead the Lynx, who have dropped two straight and four of five.
