COLUMBIA, MISS. (AP) -- A month after his Central Missouri club beat West Liberty in the Division II National Title Game, Coach Kim Anderson is headed to the next level.
Anderson was introduced to the public at a news conference Tuesday in Columbia as the new head coach at the University of Missouri.
Anderson also won five conference titles and went to three division ii final fours during his 12 years at UCM.
Anderson played for Missouri, and worked there as an assistant under Norm Stewart.
The school, Anderson says, is important to him... and he's glad to be back.

"I'm Mizzou through and through,” he said. “This is my home state, this is my alma mater, and I know how special this program is to so many people.  And it holds that same significance to me. We have all the ingredients to compete at the highest levels and play championship basketball. We just have to get everyone moving in the same direction again and bring back the same principles of teamwork, team first basketball, defense and passion that made us so successful."
