winter weather advisory all but Tyler County until 1 pm Monday

Snow mixed at times with rain especially well south of Interstate 70 is expected to accumulate 2" to 5" for most of the area tonight and another 1" to 2" Monday, for a total accumulation of 3" to 7" for most of the area through Monday evening.  In our far southern counties where more rain mixes in (especially southern parts of Monroe, Noble, and Marshall counties and Wetzel County), 1" to 3" snow is expected, with Tyler County likely to receive an inch or less.

OVAC Cheerleading Championships Contested Saturday In Wheeling

The annual OVAC Cheerleading Championships at Wesbanco Arena in Wheeling featured a number of repeat champions, as well as a first time titleist.


Wheeling Park won its second straight OVAC 5A championship Saturday. St. Clairsville won in Class 4A, the school's seventh straight cheering crown.


Linsly won the Class 3A title for the first time on Saturday, while fellow Wheeling school, Wheeling Central Catholic, took home the Class 2A championship.


Bishop Donahue won in Class 3A for the third straight time.


The OVAC Cheerleading Championships will be televised Sunday, February 16th at noon on WTOV9.
