winter weather advisory all but Tyler County until 1 pm Monday

Snow mixed at times with rain especially well south of Interstate 70 is expected to accumulate 2" to 5" for most of the area tonight and another 1" to 2" Monday, for a total accumulation of 3" to 7" for most of the area through Monday evening.  In our far southern counties where more rain mixes in (especially southern parts of Monroe, Noble, and Marshall counties and Wetzel County), 1" to 3" snow is expected, with Tyler County likely to receive an inch or less.

Steubenville Post 33 Advances To Finals Round At Region Tournament

Steubenville Post 33 continues to battle out of the losers bracket and will now have a shot at winning the Ohio Region 7 title on Monday in Coshocton.


Sunday, Post 33 won twice to stay alive.  First, Post 33 defeated Cadiz Post 34 9-5. Devin Ferguson earned the win on the mound for Steubenville.


About three hours later, Post 33 returned to the field to defeat Tuscarawas County 4-2.  Tusky had previously handed Post 33 their first loss in the double-elimination event.


Chris Murphy went the distance in the nine inning game to pick up the pitching victory in game two.


Steubenville Post 33 will take on top seed Wayne County Monday at 4 p.m. at Lake Park in Coshocton.   Post 33 will have to beat Wayne County two times Monday in order to advance to the state tournament.
