Washington D.C. Newsroom Reporter Carol Han joined NEWS9 in April 2006 after working as a reporter/anchor at WHP-TV Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Prior to that, Carol braced the frigid winds of Fargo, North Dakota, where she began her career at KVLY-TV.
While in Pennsylvania, Carol uncovered and broke a number of stories, including a cheating scandal at the local police academy. When asked about her most memorable story to date, Carol recalls a vicious court battle between two Philadelphia museums over a precious Civil War artifact. Turns out, that precious relic was a horse’s head!
The story helped win Carol a regional Emmy Award for individual achievement in 2005. This 2-time Emmy-nominated reporter has also won several awards from the Associated Press and the Northwest Broadcast News Association. In 2002, she took home the Eric Severaid Award for outstanding feature story.
