COMIC BOOK MURDER - Dennis Murphy traveled to Clinton Township, Mich., to report on the murder of Barbara George, a comic book store owner gunned down in the summer of 1990. Now, 18 years later, her husband, Michael George, is on trial for her murder and the small town is still searching for answers. This two-hour broadcast will include exclusive interviews with nine of the jurors.

A threeway turns deadly, and a pair of emerald earrings are the only clue. Writer Noah Brezner has awakened after a threeway with a blonde and a brunette, to find the blonde dead, the brunette gone, and Noah with no idea what happened. Major Case is called in to investigate the death of a Jane Doe tied in Japanese bondage ropes, then strangled. Mike Logan (Chris Noth) and Nola Falacci (Alicia Witt) are intially stumped by this lurid puzzle their only clue to the girls identity and demise is the pair of emeralds hanging from her ears.

A SCIENTISTS CONTROVERSIAL RESEARCH IS EXPOSED AFTER A MYSTERIOUS PACKAGE EXPLODES. An explosion hospitalizes a pregnant guard, leading Detectives Ed Green (Jesse L. Martin) and Cyrus Lupo (Jeremy Sisto) to a Gen Tech scientist whose lab is housed in the same building where the bomb is delivered. When the detectives discover the injured security guard had been one of the doctors research subjects, ADAs Michael Cutter (Linus Roache) and Connie Rubirosa (Alana De La Garza) suspect the security guards brother in law.

The inspirational stories of the top three moms in each category will be featured daily on NBCs Today show the week of May 5, when America will vote online at www.nbc.com to see who will continue to the final round. The investigation soon leads to one of Davids troubled classmates, Jack Trembley (guest star Alexander Gould), as more victims begin to come forward. The case quickly turns into a media circus as Trembleys attorney, Roxana Hickey (guest star Rhea Perlman), uses it as an opportunity for her own self promotion.
