Ankara Residents Despair Over U.S. Embassy Attack

Security is tight at the U.S. Embassy in Ankara a day after a suicide bomber blew himself up, taking a Turkish security guard with him. A Turkish journalist was also caught in the blast and is now in a critical condition. The bomber had detonated explosives strapped to his body just inside the Embassy gatehouse. A Turkish security expert said the attack shows that the U.S. and Turkey are prime targets for extremists.
