Diving pigs are happier and taste better, farmers say

Pig diving in China isn't a form of entertainment, even though it makes for an unusual spectacle. It's a form of exercise. Farmers in Central China are hoping to get their swine mean and lean, so they can bring home the bacon. The pigs are channeled along a chute to a diving pond. They cycle through here anywhere between 3 and 30 times a day. Why? Because less fat means more money. The result is a better quality pig which can sell for nearly three times as much.
